All voted this support the cannabis legalization taskforce including the mayor. Lets have you tell us what we should do next. What is the priority. We cant do all of this at once but if you tell us, you know, lets take the low hanging fruit and do the ease astuff first, well do that first and come back with recommendations for regulation and go off the people that know betjure write all the words and go to the committee and debate and make all the presentations. That is the type of thing that will make the taskforce a asset. We have got really smart people on the taskforce. Your Department Heads are brilliant. They are dedicated and show up apet up at the meetings and the citizens you appointed are really good. They email and talk and write and go to constituents. Good morning, everyone and welcome to the peoples palace and im here this morning to announce yet another milestone in our citys commitment to raise the minimum wage to 15 an hour by and people will work this fourth of july weekend we are celebrating our countries birthday but recognizing in the celebration throughout the weekend people like the people had that are standing with me are working whether the restaurants or hotels or Health Care Workers and others and and we all feel for working people that is hard in our expensive city to survive unless you have a december sent wage thats why a couple of years ago i destined or joibd the board of supervisors full board of supervisors to place before the voters an 15 an hour minimum wage and people that work in all those industries we did it together and were celebrating because today it goes from 12. 25 an hour to 13 and up to 15 and after that cpi takes over i want to remind everybody this city was brought together with our labor unions
Team with respect to every single fire have stepped up to the plate not only in trying to find housing for the victims of many fires that have taken place but also working with my office the city agencies to prevent the fires and so i failed to mention that and i want to say that but i wanted to know that. I know for instance, with every fire, i dont know we wouldve been able to find housing for every one of those victims without the Apartment Association playing the role that are played and i know just now with the latest fire that theyre playing an instrument to roll in and find housing for these folks. I want to personally thank the San Francisco Apartment Association for the leadership ever knowing that the city cannot solve this on some to the private sector has a role to play mesa may have played a very Important Role.
