The Living Record Festival is set to feature Chansons in a cabaret of the same name. The performance is an intriguing award-winning show about France with songs and stories from Edith Piaf, Jacques Brel and Stefanie Rummel. The show will be presented live on February 13th, 2022 at 2pm (New York City time) at 7 pm (London time) and 8pm (Berlin time).

It will not have gone unnoticed by those who have direct experience of period poverty (as well as many who do not) that the Period Products (Free Provision) (Scotland) Act 2021 was granted Royal Assent in January, making it mandatory for local authorities to make period products available, without charge, to those who would otherwise have to go without. In England, there is a scheme in place (at the time of writing) for free period products in schools and colleges, although there is some evidence that some students have had to go without during pandemic lockdowns when schools and colleges were closed.

Nobody – well, very few people – like a smug person, so part of me asks for your forgiveness in telling you that some of the plastic bags in my possession are considerably older than the average lifespan of twelve minutes that And Breathe… tells its audience a plastic bag is used for. One time, a checkout assistant at a branch of Tesco Express insisted on replacing the bag I brought with me free of charge because it was so worn out. As everyone who uses a supermarket knows, each new plastic bag must now be paid for, which some people simply incorporate into their spending.

Nod At The Fox combines spoken word, recorded soundscapes and music to create an audio love letter to Reality. It s hard having to only greet Reality with an elbow bop, but if we get any closer it will break our hearts all over again.
Nod At The Fox is an emerging theatre company, often using puppetry and audio storytelling, led by it s director Eden Harbud. Usually, we would create ambitious shows where the puppets, lighting, storytelling and action are all in control of the performers on stage. We ve been touring our work for both adult and family audiences ( Burning Tails and PEA. respectively) around the East of England since 2018.
