first-ever emergency declaration this past week. it highlighted some damaging trends and our nation. a cooling to the hrc of 525 anti-lgbtq+ bills were introduced in 41 states. of those, bills more than 220 of them targeted trans people. more than 76 anti-lgbtq+ bills have already become law this year. that is more than doubled last year s number. that means that 2023 is now officially the worst year on record for anti-lgbtq plus legislation in america. this is a lot to taken. its pride month. lgbtq plus individual should be is celebrating their pride. they should be comfortable living out loud. this year that s not everyone s reality. many folks are living in states led by conservative politicians who are hell-bent on targeting them. not just in their own communities either there s trying to spread a message of hate a nation line. look at florida. a prime example.
