UL earned the highest five-star rating in areas incuding Teaching, Employability, Research, Internationalization, Facilities, Innovation, and Inclusiveness. UL joins an exclusive group of universities worldwide to receive the overall five-star status in the ranking, which is considered one of the most influential and credible ratings for universities globally.

Local residents upset over vandalism of Garryowen shrine

Limerick s Live 95 Search By Live95 News Team Residents in Garryowen are deeply upset after a local shrine was vandalised last week. According to Aontú Limerick, the St Patrick s Statue has been a hotspot for youths to gather during lockdown. The statue, erected in 1904, was damaged and the surrounding area heavily littered with cans and cigarette butts last Monday night. Man injured in Limerick hijacking

Limerick s Live 95 Search By Live95 News Team A man has been arrested in connection with a hijacking in Limerick on Sunday.   At around 5pm a man sitting in a car in the O Malley Park area was asked for a lift, which he agreed to.  At some stage during the journey the passenger threatened the driver with what is believed to be a knife and demanded he drive him to Portlaoise.  The driver received minor injures when he jumped out of the car as they approached a petrol station in Portlaoise and raised the alarm.  A man in his 20s was arrested in Tallaght, Dublin shortly after 9pm.
