The great outdoors. There’s a reason they call it that. And after having been stuck inside for most of the last year thanks to Covid-19, the need to go beyond our four walls and explore nearby parks and other green spaces is even more vital. Activities such as walking the dog, going for a jog, riding your bike, or even just setting up a tent and camping in your backyard are great ways to stay active while still staying safely socially distanced.

Buckhead’s PATH400 provides escape from the fast lane : Very few people would ever call Georgia 400 relaxing; in fact, it’s been creating headaches since before it was built. It was a very divisive thing when it happened. It literally cut neighborhoods in half, says Livable Buckhead executive director Denise Starling. And so, there is a lot of scar tissue in the community. So, Starling and her team at the non-profit hoped to facilitate some healing with the creation of PATH400, a walkable, bike-able and dog-friendly greenway that essentially traces the highway from just south of Lindbergh Drive up to Sandy Springs.
Christmas trees donated to every fire station in Atlanta
Some fire stations in the Atlanta Fire Department received a Christmas tree.
ATLANTA - With a little more than ten days to go before Christmas, Atlanta’s firefighters are now officially ready for Saint Nick.
Volunteers planned to drop off fully-decorated trees at every fire station in the city on Monday.
Station 21 Fire Capt. Kendale Mitchell said it’s not easy being away from family during the holidays.
“It is tough,” Capt. Kendale said. “Any time you re away working the long hours that we work as we are it s tough, but especially during the holidays.”
