MONTGOMERY, Ala. (WSFA) - In need of some weekend plans? Want to go on an adventure? Would you like to have some of the most Instagram-worthy photos you can get in Alabama?
Well Meteorologist Tyler Sebree has the perfect day trip for you: a trip up I-59 in Northeast Alabama to see some of the best waterfalls not only in the state, but in all of the South.
Little River Canyon National Preserve held a water and park safety day for local media sources on Tuesday at the Little River Falls parking lot as the park s peak season approaches. Â
Little River Canyon National Preserve Public Information Officer and Park Ranger Matt Switzer said the event served as a way to help visitors make the best out of their visit and leave with good memories, rather than tragic stories.Â
âWe specifically wanted to address water safety here,â he said. âLast year, we had a very busy year, unfortunately, we also had a lot of search and rescue events, much more than we had in the past years.âÂ

Covington was last seen on December 26. Her car was found by the National Park Service in the parking lot of Little River Falls.
