liken it to is a lawn mower that s one to two miles wide coming through your neighborhood, again, just everything rotating 160, 200 miles an hour, even a little pebble, a nail hitting you at 180-mile-per-hour becomes a projectile just like a bullet. that s why they say you have to get under ground. and that s a real problem across much of oklahoma, across much of the plains states where it s cost prohibitive to dig balts, to excavate. you literally need dynamite to put in a basement for a tornado shelter. and that s because of the bedrock upon which it sits? yes, exactly. but i tell people, the multiple safety nets, the more sources of information that you have, media, sirens, noaa weather radio, apps on your smart phone, the more sources of information the greater the odds you ll get that alert in time to actually
part because i go along with the david versus goliath you don t have your sling shot and a nice little pebble. well, you know, up until now we ve had goals of making $500 a day and if we hit our goal of $500 everybody gets a $10 bonus because we can make payroll so obviously i don t have any room to fight and what i really want to do the most is just bake and be creative, and that s what i do best and i m not a very good fighter. tami there s a facebook page that is trying to fight on your behalf, though. what do you make of that? correct. you have some fans out there who are saying take them on! let s bring down goliath! well, i have a family to be responsible to and i have a mortgage to pay and i d like to keep it that way. i don t want to create any rifts to where it will make my life difficult. so what s the name going to be? we don t have a new name that we can make available to the public yet. i want to make sure that the new name is completely legal and nobody else
little pebble into a lake, right? and the initial splash is the biggest one and moves out. it s going to weaken with time. and so we ll continue to watch those waves maybe be lesser and lesser as we head, you know, across into the western pacific. however, the thing that we need to keep into mind while we re having weakening, we could get up to seven or eight feet in the bays and inlets across the hawaiian islands. so while some weakening, so to speak, could be taking place, that doesn t mean it s still not going to be a deal here for hawaii. so, yes, lesser wave action out here. you know, more wave action back in here. but the makeup of the topography on the ocean floor has an impact of how big the waves are going to be on any given location. wow. it s very fascinating. jacqui jeras, thanks so much. reminder, the tsunami is actually triggered by that earthquake in chile. hundreds of thousands of miles away. however, the efforts to help
