Traffic is beginning to queue around the scene on the A4042 between Pontypool and Goytre. Gwent Police have said that the collision involved a van and a car. A man, travelling in the van, received medical treatment at the scene for neck/shoulder pain - the two other men travelling in the van were unharmed. The male driver of the car, a Vauxhall Corsa, was also unharmed. The vehicles have been recovered from the scene. The road will remain closed for a short while, however, while debris is cleared from the carriageway. Gwent Police are advising motorists to find alternative routes if possible.
