The Council of the European Union has approved sanctions against 38 individuals and three legal entities from Belarus in connection with the deterioration of the human rights situation in this country.
Sanctions against Belarus for supporting the war unleashed by the Russian Federation against Ukraine, which EU ambassadors approved, will apply to dual-use goods and aircraft parts. The restrictions will concern 38 individuals.
„We are looking at the Vilnius Summit as if it was a strategic opportunity. (.) Some might have expected more from this meeting, but I think that strategically we won. We have committed that Ukraine will eventually become a NATO member. This is the biggest commitment and achievement from a strategic point of view“, said Mr Landsbergis at the public forum of the Vilnius NATO Summit.
