Fentanyl abuse currently stands at 292 lives in the state this year. Look inside the numbers and at new funding headed this way to help. Called the heroin epidemic but fentanyl is driving the overdose role in 177 fatalities. And those are just the confirmed there are still dozens of toxicology reports still New Hampshire Drug Overdose deaths have already set a new record this year, and the tally continues to mount. According to the office of the chief medical examiner, the current confirmed total is 342. 292 of those lost their lives to an opioid overdose. And the state says there are 73 cases pending, awaiting final toxicology reports. That means whatever the final total is it will be far higher than the 326 drug deaths in 2014. But some help is on the way in the form of funding. The budget bill on its way to million or 284 increase in funding for programs aimed at combating opioid abuse. S Jennifer Crompton is live at the scene with what we know about how the fire started. We are here where the fire started at about 2 30 this afternoon. As you mentioned, fire crews still on the scene. Just moments ago they were pouring more water onto this, a little bit of smoke still showing but basically the upstairs is guided gutted from the top down into the house. The fivebedroom home sits on a hill at the top of a culdesac. According to the chief, the nearest highways nearly a mile away so the water had to be brought in by tanker trucks from over a dozen communities. Many still on scene at this hour. Nearly 60 firefighters are here. Called and reported smoke. The official cause remains under investigation but it appears it started under the roof and may before the smoke was detected. It was not accessible from the ground. There were no Access Points to get into the attic. Very difficult once it gets conditions. The family has lived here for several years and neighbors describe th
