Spending caps are for next year. Theres still a lot of work to be done when it comes to appropriations and how theyll reconcile that number and what it means for nondefense spending, theres another 170 billion in money that goes to operations in iraq and afghanistan. Thats been a point of contention for lawmakers for several years, too. Theyre worried that well keep going on with these costs even as the wars wind down. 70 billion, thats a lot of money. 170 billion, yeah. Quite a bit there to be settled. A few things that didnt get into this is space corps didnt make it in and a couple of other proposals as well. What happened to some of the more notable proposals . Not a ton of controversy in this one. In years past weve seen pretty contentious bills but space corps was one of those that the house members wanted to get in there, reorganization of how space issues are handled by the air force and the military. They saw it as a whole separate section similar to how marines operate within
