Four of the new deacons plan to continue their formation and be ordained as priests as the church nears the 50th anniversary of the ordination of its first female priests.
The Women Have Something to Say, conceived by Nicole Kenley-Miller of Intersection Arts Houston and composed by Madeline Styskal, marks the fourth and final project in The Why Collective's four-show series while in residence at Nancy Manocherian's the cell theatre.

Brett Vickers, a St. Petersburg real estate agent and philanthropist, has filed to run for the District 6 City Council seat against incumbent Gina Driscoll.
Vickers, 57, a first-time candidate, said he has no history in politics or government but extensive involvement in local non-profit organizations through a charitable foundation of his wifeâs family. Lisa Vickers is the daughter of the late Roy Speer, founder of Home Shopping Network.
