MASSILLON Standing in front of a group of curious youngsters, Valerie Stutler told the kids she loves to jump rope. You can t believe an old lady like me does that? she asked the kids.
Stutler, director of development for the American Heart Association, was at Franklin Elementary School Monday to deliver a donation of jump ropes to each student at the school. It s really good for your health, she told third grade students in Todd Lepley s gym class as they got their jump ropes. Even if it s just for five minutes.
The American Heart Association teamed up with Midwestern Industries co-owner Chip Painter and his wife, Lisa Turkalj-Painter, to encourage youngsters to get moving and keep their hearts healthy.
