breaches were minor. the agency has also come under attack for being too aggressive, with invasive pat-downs of children and the elderly. as for the woman in texas, she faces state felony charges of carrying a weapon where it s prohibited. she also faces thousands of dollars in federal civil penalties. lisa stark, abc news, reagan national airport. and last november a couple of elderly women made headlines because of how tsa agents treated them at new york s jfk airport. now the tsa is apologizing. the agency says screeners violated procedures when they asked to see medical devices that the women were wearing under their clothes. they claim they were strip-searched and are still disgusted. i think it s terrible. people from government should get involved and they should straighten it out and they should send people to classes who would learn how to deal with the public. that s exactly what s happening.
note on that. also, those two americans still listed are jerry and barbara heil of minnesota. hundreds of family members and friends came together last night for a prayer service right there at their church. they were called a couple who was devoted to charity. their granddaughter simply asked for prayers. dallas-based attorney general judith kenny says she is embarrassed and mortified, but it s a little more serious than that. she is also facing felony charges for boarding a plane with a gun in her carry-on bag. kenny says she forgot it was there. the question is how was she even able to get past security screeners? here s abc s lisa stark. reporter: it was a mad scramble at the dallas-fort worth airport after security screeners spotted a gun in a carry-on computer bag. by the time security agents went to pull the bag, it was gone, and so was the passenger. officers pulled security tapes to pinpoint the passenger and fanned out across all five terminals, shutting down
back home are telling harrowing tales of survival. megan and robert mauri were on their honeymoon. at first they were told it was just a power problem. it was one just terrible situation. it was just it was just a mess. it was just nothing but just pure chaos. the crew didn t seem like they knew what they were doing. he was actually helping people out of the lifeboat. you could not see any coast guard, crew members, nobody. there was nobody to be found. the search goes on for as many as 29 passengers who are still missing including a retired couple from minnesota. there are italian media reports this morning that a seventh victim has been pulled from the ship. but that couple from minnesota the only americans that are missing at this point. such a tragedy story. nearly 10 million americans will take a cruise in fact this year. so what safety lessons can we learn from this italian disaster? here s abc s lisa stark. reporter: if you board a cruise ship, you can expect that
from waves crashing on board, fires, or in this case a ship sinking. luckily, after everyone was off. experts say be prepared. be familiar with the ship. you need to know where your assembly station is. you need to take the assembly drill seriously. reporter: another good idea, coordinate with your family or friends, figure out a rendezvous point. in an emergency you may not even be at the same part of the ship. and here s another suggestion. bring a flashlight on board. something like this could be invaluable in a fire or in darkness. lisa stark, abc news, washington. maybe a waterproof flashlight? yeah. that would probably have to be the caveat on that one. but just a simple flashlight when you re trying to evacuate. and these pictures are unbelievable. now going into the fourth day. it s just it s very it is very disheartening and it s very difficult to kind of have confidence to go back on the ship. yeah, it s hard to imagine anybody still being alive. and you keep he
the u.s. has now made its way into our orange juice. the fda is stepping up testing, but it is not pulling the juices from the shelves. more on all this now from abc s lisa stark. reporter: it all began with a confidential call to the fda. an orange juice company, the government won t say which one, said it found something in its juice and that of a competitor that should not be there, a pesticide used to kill fungus in the orange groves. the chemical, called carbepdazim, is not approved for use on citrus in the u.s., but it is used around the world. not all of the orange juice that u.s. consumers drink comes from oranges that were grown here in the united states. and just because a chemical s illegal here doesn t mean other countries don t allow it to be used. reporter: the juice with the chemical in it was imported from
