In early December, Lindsey Boylan responded to a prompt on Twitter for people to share the worst job theyâd ever had. âMost toxic team environment?â she tweeted. âWorking for @NYGovCuomo.â At the time, much of the public still thought of Governor Andrew Cuomo as one of the heroes of Americaâs pandemic response. President-elect Joe Biden was reportedly considering him for Attorney General. Boylan had worked in the Cuomo administration for more than three years; her final title had been deputy secretary for economic development and special adviser to the Governor. On December 11th, as reports about Cuomoâs possible appointment continued to appear, Boylan tweeted about him again. â@JoeBiden if you make this man Attorney General, some women like me will be bringing the receipts,â she wrote. âWe do not need a sexual harasser and abuser as âthe law,â of the land.â
NEW YORK (WABC) The New York attorney general has named the two lawyers who will lead the investigation into the sexual harassment allegations against Gov. Andrew Cuomo.
New York Attorney General Letitia James announced Monday the appointment of former Acting U.S Attorney for the Southern District of New York Joon H. Kim and employment discrimination attorney Anne L. Clark as the two attorneys who will lead an independent investigation. We are committed to an independent and thorough investigation of the facts, James said. Joon H. Kim and Anne L. Clark are independent, legal experts who have decades of experience conducting investigations and fighting to uphold the rule of law. There is no question that they both have the knowledge and background necessary to lead this investigation and provide New Yorkers with the answers they deserve.
