TOWN OF ULSTER, N.Y. â A show of support Tuesday for Shana Shaw drew about 20 residents to the Town Hall parking lot to protest Ulster County Sheriffâs handling of an incident that started with a non-working turn signal and ended with the woman being injured.
Shaw, 26, of Saugerties, was charged Monday with the misdemeanor counts of resisting arrest, second-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, second-degree unlawful possession of marijuana and traffic infractions.
Shaw declined to discuss details of the incident except to contend that the Sheriffâs deputy acted âaggressivelyâ toward her immediately at the stop which was in the Buffalo Wild Wings parking lot on Ulster Avenue.
