The House Jan. 6 committee has subpoenaed Bill Bachenberg, owner of Lehigh Valley Sporting Clays, and 13 other people who it says falsely claimed to be electors for President Donald Trump in the 2020 election.
People who participated as fake electors from Pennsylvania and six other states have been subpoenaed by the U.S. congressional committee investigating the Jan. 6 attack on the U.S. Capitol. The groups had met in December 2020 to sign documents assigning their respective states' Electoral College votes to former President Donald Trump, though their states actually voted to elect Joe Biden as president. The bogus electors came from Pennsylvania along with Arizona, Georgia, Michigan, New Mexico, Nevada and Wisconsin all allegedly sent in lists of so-called alternate electors to the National Archives.
