Many pet owners offer their furry friends a nice treat for good behaviour, but sometimes they may not consider the impact of the food they’re sharing. “Most of us don’t realise just how calorie-dense our food can be for our pets,” Lisa Melvin, a Pet Range spokesperson, said. Leftover meat, including bacon, sausage and roast chicken, can make up a high percentage of a dog’s recommended daily calorie intake. Cheddar cheese and pup cups were also on Pet Range’s list.
