EXETER – A well-known local author is battling a “severe” case of COVID-19 in Exeter Hospital, and the community is responding to help him and his family cover medical expenses.
Mark Dagostino is best known for achieving the New York Times Best Seller list six times, including books on Hulk Hogan and Villanova University men’s basketball coach Jay Wright. He was transported Sunday to Exeter Hospital after experiencing difficulty breathing. He was placed on oxygen in the intensive care unit.
Terry Taylor, Dagostino’s fiancée and life partner, said she last spoke with Dagostino around 2 a.m. Tuesday over FaceTime. She said he reported suffering from coughing fits each time he attempted to move. She is also battling COVID-19 herself, but with milder symptoms. She said his symptoms began Jan. 30 with fevers, headaches and exhaustion.
