The school holidays are truly designed to keep us on our toes. If you re not looking, they can creep up on you from behind and turn life as you know it upside down. With this in mind, CAN has designed a new fun event called Around the World Art Play , which features a variety of creative activities that are available as drop-in sessions with no need to book in advance. During the second week of the April school holidays, head to CAN and take part in some special creative activities that will take your imagination Around the World .

There is still an opportunity to celebrate Art Deco at Creative Arts Napier, even though as a community we experienced the recent disappointment of the festival being cancelled.
At CAN, we went ahead with our own Art Deco celebrations, and opened the first ever CAN-Do Deco Children s Art Exhibition which is on display now until Thursday, March 11.
The CAN Do Deco exhibition features a wide variety of exquisite Art Deco-inspired artwork created by local young talent and is generously supported by local businesses Edsports School Shop and Wardini s Books.

Come along to CAN in the next couple of weeks and take a creative break. We have a family friendly drop-in activity for you all to enjoy for just a small koha. As we head into 2021, this is your chance to create your most imaginative utopia – it could be anything from your own reimagined back yard, your perfect dream bedroom to a space station on Mars.
