Oneida County 4-H Youth Donate Over 100 Hand-Made Gifts
Like many groups and organizations, Oneida County 4-H Youth were prevented from conducting their usual projects and programs by the COVID pandemic. But it didn t stop them from working independently to create holiday gifts for needy youth.
4-H members constructed and donated 48 hand painted snowman bed pillows with an accompanying fuzzy blanket, handmade mittens, and scarves to the Berkshire Farm Foster Care Program. The group also made 60 sets of mittens and scarves along with bags of toys and gave them to the Thea Bowman House in Utica.
Lynette S. Kay says the Community Service Project was made possible by donations from Joann Fabrics and Crafts, Walmart and 4-H alumna Whitney Semans. Check out some photos of their hard work.
