An N.W.T. court is considering adding a sixth lawyer to help represent Devon Larabie, who's facing a charge of second-degree murder and has already fired three defence lawyers.
A trial date has now been set for a man accused of murdering a Yellowknife woman in May of 2020. Devon Larabie's trial will begin Nov. 14 in the N.W.T. Supreme Court.

The N.W.T. Supreme Court has turned down the Crown prosecutor s request for a publication ban on details of the death of a 22-year-old woman in Yellowknife last spring.
The details emerged earlier this month during the sentencing of Jordan Nande and Lisa Brulé, both of whom pleaded guilty to being accessories after the fact in the murder of Breanna Menacho.

Arguing for a ban on details of an alleged murder in Yellowknife, a Crown prosecutor said that publication bans are sometimes more necessary in smaller populations such as the North than they are in large southern centres.
Blair MacPherson said in Northwest Territories Supreme Court on Wednesday that the CBC had made powerful and persuasive arguments, against the ban, but added they were arguments for a southern jurisdiction . we re asking for a decision that takes into account the context here.

Two people who helped cover up a killing in Yellowknife last spring have been sentenced to 10 months in jail and two years probation.
Jordan Nande and Lisa Brulé admitted they helped cover up the killing of 22-year-old Breanna Menacho. Her body was found in a Yellowknife apartment on May 6, according to the RCMP.
Devon Larabie is charged with murder in connection with Menacho s death. His preliminary inquiry is scheduled to take place in June.
