BRATISLAVA, Dec. 14 (Xinhua) It took Liptovsky Mikulas 20 rounds in the Slovak ice-hockey premiership Tipos Extraliga to earn its first victory of the season, defeating Miskolc on the road 4-3 on Sunday.
Things looked bleak for Liptovsky Mikulas, like they have in all its previous match-ups in 2020, as the home team of Miskolc, the only Hungarian team in the Slovak league, was leading 3-0 after the first period.
But the visitors unexpectedly rallied with four consecutive goals to turn the game around and take home the first W of the season. Besides the four different shooters, Liptovsky Mikulas 23-year-old Finnish goalie Karolus Kaarlehto was one of the key men on the ice, making a whopping 43 saves on his second appearance in goal.
