KSTP Created: June 30, 2021 05:49 PM A man driving a motorcycle died Wednesday afternoon on Hanson Boulevard in Coon Rapids after he crashed with a car that was turning across the six-lane road, the Anoka County Sheriff s Office said. A crash report states the man was driving a motorcycle north on Hanson Boulevard Northwest when a female driver attempted to turn onto the southbound lanes from the entrance to Lions Coon Creek Park, just south of 119th Avenue Northwest. The motorcycle and car then collided. The man was pronounced dead at the scene. He was not wearing a helmet, the sheriff s office said. The other driver wasn t hurt.
