THE CITY’S MASK MANDATE UNTIL AT LEAST THE END OF APRIL AND EVEN IF THE GOVERNOR LIFTS THE STATE’S MASK MANDATE THE CITY’S MASK. WILL STAY IN PLACE. WE PASSED THIS IN JUNE LAST YEAR, THEN THE GOVERNOR CAME OUT WITH HIS MANDATE BUT OUR STATE IN EFFECT. SO WHEN IT THE STATE GOES WAY THIS ONE HAS IT COMES BACK TO LIFE AGAIN UNTIL THE CITY COUNCIL REPEALS IT THE FAYETTEVILLE BOARD OF HEALTH SAYS IT HAS THREE REQUIREMENTS BEFORE IT APPROVES LIFTING THE MASK MANDATE IN THE CITY. Fayetteville announces donation of 38-acres of land for new park

Craig and Laura Underwoods have donated 38 acres of land located west of Dean Solomon Road to the City of Fayetteville to establish a new park.  The Underwoods’ donation makes up over 57% of what will eventually become a 65-acre park which will serve the planned 602 multi-family units being constructed nearby as well the entire City as a community park.  On Oct. 6., Fayetteville City Council unanimously approved to name the park in honor of the Underwoods’ significant donation of land as well as their long history of providing exceptional service to the Fayetteville parks system.
