Bethel Park paving program to start in May

Bethel Park residents should expect to see crews start road repairs in May. Council recently awarded a $1.53 million contract to Mele & Mele & Sons of Braddock to pave 23 roads. They were the lowest of six bidders. Councilman Joe Consolmagno said that company has worked for Bethel Park the past three years. “We’re extremely satisfied with the work that they have done,” he said. “They do an excellent job. They do the paving, and then we have another company that comes in and does the landscaping. That program has worked out real well.” Stacey Graf, director of engineering, said Bethel Park is in year three of a five-year paving plan designed by RoadBotics.
