More than $1.09-million has been approved as part of this year’s Social Framework Community Grants program, which will help non-profits meet the needs of Strathcona County residents.

“These grants are an investment in our community-based social sector organizations,” Mayor Rod Frank said. “The SocialFramework Community Grants allow us to leverage resources, increase collaboration and heighten the well-being of our community.”
The program is broken down into two streams: 1) core funding, which is aimed at supports that provide prevention and early intervention for social needs over a year-to-three-year period, and 2) collaboration funding, spread out over two-to-three years, allowing partnerships to form between non-profits to address community-wide social issues.
