As they struggle for their livelihood less free than they had ever been before. Living within the strains constraints of a new settler society. When i look at and read the transcripts and speeches from those negotiations, evidence suggests they were thinking about us. Their descendents. They were holding onto the idea that in 150 years, there would still be a homeland for people in northern minnesota. And there is. Despite the bad acts and that paper involved in this history, we must always remember that very important fact. I am very pleased to be able to be here to introduce a very distinguished panel.
