In Northwestern’s previous pair of wins over Maryland, the Wildcats outdrew Maryland 21-10 on March 27 and 24-14 on March 29. The score of those games? 20-10 and 25-12, respectively an almost identical stat line. It’s not groundbreaking to point out that possession gives a team a huge leg-up in any race; but when a team packs an offensive punch the way that Northwestern’s does, the draw is that much more important.
