Speaker . Good afternoon, supervisors. My name is martha roots and i am here today as an ankle monitor success story. San Francisco Sheriff Department assessed me, and put me on an ankle monitor for 75 days. And that time, i was electronically monitored through all of my walk of every day and i was also home detained after 9 00 p. M. , in that time, i got my high school diploma, received an internship through the Sheriffs Department and have now been working for three years. And so, this does work for low level criminals. I want to thank you for sharing your story. And very inspiring and congratulations. Thank you. Next speaker. Good afternoon, supervisors, my name is nick and i am the director of the Legal Services in jails in San Francisco and i am an attorney and i am also an exoffender.
