The Cobb Board of Education may take up extending Superintendent Chris Ragsdale’s contract for another year at its meeting Thursday, according to board Chair Randy Scamihorn.

An Atlanta native who hails from a closely knit family of seven siblings, Evans learned early on, from his mother, the importance of the fear of God, the value of family, walking in honesty and integrity, obtaining a good education and pursuing one’s life’s dreams. Upon completing studies in the Atlanta Public Schools system, he entered Columbia School of Broadcasting where he majored in Mass Communication/Radio Broadcasting and obtained a Federal Communications Commission (FCC) license in 1985.
