Officials say major flooding is a concern on the mainland areas near canals, rivers and the intracoastal, especially with Tropical Storm Nicole expected to make landfall in Florida as a hurricane.
Emory Wayne Reighard, 83, Lakemont, passed away Thursday at Hillview Healthcare.
He was born in Bedford, son of the late Randolph and Ruth (Miller) Reighard. He shared over 30 years of marriage with his wife, Ellen Kirkwood.
He is survived by his wife; a daughter, Carolyn; a son, Wayne L.; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; a sister, Linda Windows; a brother, Larry; numerous nieces and nephews and many out-of-town family members.
Wayne graduated from Bedford High School, Class of 1955. He retired from Blair Electric after 50 years of service. He was a member of Lakemont First Church of God. Wayne enjoyed fishing, woodworking, and going to baseball games.
