Archer, Murphey and Wiley elementary schools are now set to close for good at the end of this school year. Swann Middle School will close to students at the same time, but is planned to reopen as a performing arts school some years from now, following a renovation.
Guilford County Board of Education member Khem Irby expressed disagreement with part of the district s plans for the new Peck K-8 school at Tuesday night s school board meeting.
The policy, which is out for public comment, also states that students can face discipline for online misbehavior, even if it happens outside of school.
