The Minnesota Court of Appeals affirmed a 68-month prison sentence for Braxton Anderson, of Montevideo, for his conviction of criminal vehicular homicide in the Aug. 6, 2019, crash that killed Brittany Lynn Schulz, 20, of Appleton.
Sixto Reyes, 34, was sentenced Oct. 17 in Kandiyohi County District Court to one year of unsupervised probation and a stayed jail sentence for disorderly conduct. He was given three days credit for time served, and the remainder of the 90-day jail sentence was stayed for a year. Reyes was one of three parties arrested during a large fight outside Zorbaz in Spicer during the summer of 2020.
Households in the Montevideo School District are being surveyed on their reaction to a recommended plan to address facilities needs. The $59.3 million plan calls for three schools. It would convert the middle school into an elementary school and the high school into a middle school while building a new high school addition.
