Mrs. Brenda Almquist (nee Broad), age 73 years, entered into the presence of her Lord on Monday, December 21, 2020, in St. Joseph s Hospice with family by her side.
Brenda was born September 19, 1947 in Port Arthur Ontario, and lived her life in Thunder Bay. She worked for many years as a chambermaid at the Prince Arthur Hotel, leaving briefly to obtain her training and then work as a nurses aide at various homes in the city.
Mom s greatest accomplishments were marrying the love of her life, Louis Almquist; becoming a stay-at-home mother; and raising their 3 children. She was a great cook, and loved to bake, often making batches of perogies, cabbage rolls, and goodies with her siblings.
