City of St. Augustine accepting e-waste, used oil Jan. 6

The City of St. Augustine and St. Johns County Utilities will hold a free recycling event from 7:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Jan. 6 at two locations: 25 W. Castillo Drive (Francis Field downtown) and at 840 W. 16th St. on Anastasia Island.
Old electronics, including cellphones, VCRs, DVD players, game systems and tablets, will be among the recyclable items. Other electronic devices, including computers and printers, will also be accepted.
Throughout the year, the City of St. Augustine accepts all recyclable materials daily during regular business hours at the Solid Waste Facility and at the Wastewater Treatment Plant, at 601/501 Riberia St. (respectively). St. Johns County Anastasia Island Wastewater Treatment Facility accepts only used cooking oil year-round at 860 West 16th St.
