“Spending even a small percentage of your holiday dollars strengthens our local economy (keeping 73 cents on the dollar right here in Newton) and forms a synergy which creates new jobs locally, generates economic growth within our community, inspires others to form new independent ventures, reduces our carbon footprint and enhances our community, generally,” said Devra G. Bailin, the city’s director of economic development.
