Magic-Comedy of Festival of Illusions Returns to Central Oregon Coast

Lincoln City’s 2021 Festival of Illusions gets under way on March 19 and runs through March 28, with actual live performances (with plenty of safe distance involved) – and a large variety of other safe activities. Support Program For Rural Queer Youth Nears First Anniversary

1:07 KLCC s Brian Bull reports on a resource for rural LGTBQ youth in the Lincoln County/coastal Oregon area. Called The Bravery Center, its mission is to provide a safe space and mental health services for the queer community in the county and beyond.  Its founder and director, Beck Johnson, identifies as trans/non-binary.  While the pandemic has forced a virtual reworking of the Bravery Center, Johnson says its purpose remains the same: helping queer youth deal with prejudice, self-harm, rejection, and fear.
