It’s been a journey for the
Wish Dragon film as after originally being scheduled for a summer 2019 release, it was pushed to summer 2020 only to have the pandemic throw those plans off. The film saw a release in China back on January 15th, 2021 from Sony Pictures which is handling it there. Distribution outside of China is being handled by Netflix and they’ve set a June 11th, 2021 release for and a new trailer has landed with the English language cast for it. The film was directed by Chris Applehans based on the screenplay he wrote.
