YCDC ensures drinking water supply in Dala Tsp | Ministry Of Information

Submitted by moiuser on Fri, 04/09/2021 - 11:37 YANGON  City  Development  Committee  (YCDC)  ensures  adequate drinking water supply to Dala Township wards, where local people face a water shortage problem as the lakes start to dry up in summer. The water distribution project  under  the  YCDC  has  been  distributing water from 26 March 2021. The officials have provided 9,600 gallons of water to the local people in the Yazathingyan ward in Dala Township. Moreover, they  also  supply  15,600 gallons of drinking water to Hmawsat and Tapinshwehtee wards and Tadachaung Sanpya village as of 8 April. About  4,562  households  in  24  wards  have  been  connected  to  water  pipelines.  The YCDC built 1,200-gallon concrete water tanks in 34 sites with a household water supply and filled the tanks every two days.

The junta has deployed increasing force against daily protests since the February 1 coup, with more than 70 people killed according to the UN’s top rights expert on the country.
