THE Public Works Department (PWD) has repaired sections of Jalan Beaufort-Sipitang and will endeavour to have regular checks made in a bid to minimise the inconvenience which road-users face as a result of potholes forming in the stretch.

Drugs: Teacher, government servant among nabbed | Daily Express Online

Four suspected drug addicts, including a 38-year-old Sabah Welfare Department personnel and a 55-year-old teacher, were nabbed in separate arrests, here.  The other two involved an electrician and an unemployed. All four men were found with suspected syabu in their possession and tested positive for drugs.  District Police Chief Yusoff Zaki Yaccob said the Welfare Department staff was found with 1.13gm of suspected syabu worth RM150 in his possession in Restoran Fervis One Beaufort on Friday.  The second on Wednesday involved an electrician who was picked up by police at Kg Limbawang, after 5.98gm of suspected syabu worth RM600 were found in his possession.  The school teacher was detained on Thursday and the following day police nabbed a 29-year-old man suspected of distributing drugs near a bus stop in front of SMK Membakut.   The unemployed man was found with 13.47gm of suspected syabu worth about RM1,400.   Yussof Zaki advised everyone, incl

Man seriously injured in Beaufort mishap | Daily Express Online - Sabah's Leading News Portal

A 42-year-old man was seriously hurt after his motorcycle crashed into a tree near KM2 Limbawang Bypass, here, recently.  The man is believed to have lost control of the motorcycle which led to the 6pm accident, according to District Police Chief Yusoff Zaki Yaacob.  The motorcyclist hit a tree and was then thrown onto the road by the force. He was then rushed to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital Two for treatment.  Meanwhile, Yusoff urged drivers to be cautious and abstain from driving while fatigued in order to avoid unfavourable incidents
