The Wadena-Deer Creek Drama's school-based production of “The Princess Capers” by Taryn Temple will be performed at 7 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 16, through Nov. 18 in the Wadena Memorial Auditorium.

Not all heroes wear capes and sometimes these heroes can be found locally. Allene Dering was nominated by several residents to be Tehama County’s local hero.

Hometown Hero: Avery Vilche a reflection of the community she loves

This is the third in the series of five stories on our hometown hero nominees. The first of which ran on September 19, which was Clay and Lily Parker. The second in the series also appears in today's issue, with the final two being revealed next Tuesday and Wednesday.
