For 18-year old American Maja Cornwell a dream came true last weekend, when she went down the centerline on Breaking Dawn, Ashley Holzer s 2012 London Olympic team ride. Breaking Dawn Breaking Dawn is a 20-year old Dutch warmblood gelding by Akribori out of Eveline (by Ronald x Vesins x Brigadier). He is bred by W. van Kessel. He was purchased as a foal by the Dutch stable Flemming and named Ultiems Flemming. Under Patrick van der Meer he competed up to small tour level and trained to Grand Prix.

Her new partner-in-crime is the 19-year old Valando BJ. Wilcox saddled the tall bay gelding for the 3 Grand Prix Special tour at the 2021 CDI Wellington on 28 - 31 January 2021. In the Grand Prix the budding pair placed sixth with 67.978%, the Special they captured the same spot with 65.426%. Four Year Hiatus The 54-year old Wilcox last rode onto the centerline at the CDI Wellington back in March 2017 when she ended her four-year campaign on the then 11-year old Belgian warmblood horse Galant (by Escuro x De Niro), owned by Jacqueline Shear.

Seidel and Equirelle Make First Freestyle Together a Winning One at 2021 CDI Wellington Tue, 02/02/2021 - 07:09 2021 CDI Wellington Week three of the 2021  Global Dressage Festival (AGDF) concluded on Sunday, January 31, with victory for the USA’s Guenter Seidel and Equirelle in the Grand Prix Freestyle 4 , presented by U.S. P.R.E. Association. In their first freestyle performance together, Seidel and Leatherdale Farms and Louise Leatherdale’s 2009 KWPN mare by Florett AS earned a 75.830% from judges to top the class. First Freestyle “It was our first freestyle,” he began, “so I was a little conservative and kept everything fairly easy. Our floor plan was fairly easy. She’s a very hot horse and has had her issues in the ring, so I wanted to use this test to give her some confidence out there. Janne Rumbough: The P R E Horse has Earned the Respect in International Dressage Competition

Sun, 01/31/2021 - 11:14 PRE Wellington can be defined as the Mecca for horse lovers.  Janne Rumbough is one of the founding sponsors of the Adequan Global Dressage Festival (AGDF) in Wellington, Florida. As a competitor, with her P.R.E mounts Gaucho III, Junior, and more recently Armas Zumbel, she achieved the USDF Bronze, Silver, and Gold medals. Janne is also a USDF Silver and Gold Freestyle Bar recipient.   Back in 2014, in the state of Kentucky, Janne won the United States Dressage Finals Grand Prix Freestyle for Adult Amateurs Championship aboard Junior. In 2018, Janne received the same title with Armas Zumbel.

Germans Koschel and Wandres Sweep Grand Prix Tests at 2021 CDI Wellington Sat, 01/30/2021 - 11:18 2021 CDI Wellington Germans and personal friends Christoph Koschel and Frederic Wandres took the day’s lead in the Grand Prix 4 and 3 for freestyle during the third week of competition at the 2021 Global Dressage Festival in Wellington, Florida. Koschel Wins 4 GP for Kur  Koschel and Eaton, a 2009 KWPN gelding by Wynton owned by the Japanese company Unitechno, Inc., rode to a score of 70.065%, the only combination in the day’s class to earn above a 70%. “He felt a bit spicy today,” began Koschel. “The horse is really expressive, but he can do better in the canter tour, so this is definitely something we want to improve. He has competed well lately, but the atmosphere is a little chilly tonight, and he knows this arena, but he was still a little nervous. For a start to this season, I was pretty happy with it.”
