Clemson, S.C. – Following the program’s first-ever ACC win, Clemson’s Trinity Brown and Lilly Lippeatt were named ACC Specialist and Newcomer of the Week, respectively, as voted on by the league office. Brown’s honor is the first weekly honor of her career, while Lippeatt’s is ACC Newcomer of the Week for the second-consecutive week. Both gymnasts competed in three events for the Tigers on Sunday afternoon, helping lead Clemson to a 196.200-194.775 victory over Pitt. Brown started the Tigers off strong, setting a career-high with a 9.900 in the anchor spot on vault, giving Clemson its highest team vault total of the season and Brown her first event win of the year. Lippeatt continued her strong freshman season, scoring a 9.800 or better on all three events she competed in on Sunday.
