TUCSON, Ariz. (KOLD News 13) - On Tuesday, February 23, the National Park Service located a body below the rim near Trailview Overlook along Hermit Road in the Grand Canyon.
The body was recovered and has been identified as 31-year-old Lillian Meyn of Woodside, California. Body recovery teams were able to reach the victim, who was located approximately 300 feet below the rim, earlier this morning.
On February 22, Meyn was reported missing by a family member. Later that day Meynâs vehicle was located on the South Rim of Grand Canyon near the Bright Angel Lodge.
A California woman who was reported missing on Feb. 22 has been found dead below the rim of the Grand Canyon, according to officials with the National Park Service.

GRAND CANYON NATIONAL PARK, Ariz. (AP) - The body of a missing California woman was recovered Tuesday from about 300 feet below the South Rim at Grand Canyon National Park, authorities said.
Rangers from the National Park Service located the body Tuesday morning near Trailview Overlook along the Hermit Road.
They said the body has been identified as 31-year-old Lillian Meyn of Woodside.

The body of a woman from California has been discovered 300 feet below the rim of the Grand Canyon.
Lillian Meyn, 31, from Woodside, California, was reported missing by a family member the day before, the Grand Canyon National Park Service (NPS) said in a statement.
Her body was located below the rim near Trailview Overlook along the Hermit Road, the service added.
Recovery teams were able to reach Meyn s body, which was 300 feet (91.44 meters) below the edge, early on Tuesday morning.
