WEDNESDAY marked a turning point in a Stroud care home s fight against Covid-19 as its staff were amongst the first to receive the Covid19 vaccine at Gloucestershire Royal Hospital. Suzanne Booker, director of care at Resthaven care home in Pitchcombe, and members of her team were among those was among those to be immunised on the second day of the UK s mass vaccine rollout. Suzanne summed up the mood after receiving her vaccination. She said: “It feels absolutely amazing. It will encourage our staff, make our residents feel safe and be so reassuring for our residents’ families. There is a lot of hope for next year.
