In the midst of a global pandemic, social unrest, economic uncertainty and the climate crisis, many of us continue to vacillate between feeling angry, distraught and hopeful. The late Rabbi Abraham Joshua Heschel encouraged us to approach our lives with both “radical amazement and righteous indignation” a prescription to recognize both the beauty and the brokenness in the world we inhabit. While there are many expressions of Jewish peoplehood, the practice of
