now, the best way out of it is to resupply and keep ukraine in the fight, but can we do it. the other issue is russia would have the ability to i assume cut off water supplies to kyiv, to cut off electricity, to plunge the city into darkness, it could, i mean, very quickly a humanitarian crisis, a humanitarian disaster inside the city, if that city can t get medicine, if that city can t get food. yeah, exactly. exactly. now, as i understand putin s orders, they were to besiege kyiv and then clear it, so whenever it falls or whenever somebody says okay, enough, enough, we re not going to starve all of these people, when the russians come in, there is 3,000, 5,000, 50,000 people in that city who believe in democracy, who have worked against the russians. they will be targeted and they will be either shipped out, imprisoned, tortured or shot on the spot. this is the russian plan.
went into this without enough forces. they have a clumsy logistics trail. and you can t occupy cities like kyiv. the size 3 million population when everyone was there, the size of chicago, kharkiv, which is 1.5 million people, the size of philadelphia, with 190 troops and a bad logistics tail. and that s not even including the other locations throughout ukraine. it s phenomenal that mr. putin and his military even thought they could do this. i ve been saying this from the very beginning. it s just not enough force. and ukraine has the will, not only at the individual level to fight back. but they re now generating will from around the world, as well as from within their government. so if it does turn into a guerilla war, they will win it. i m not sure from a personal standpoint, i don t think kyiv is going to fall to the russians.
kherson is where there s a vital bridge, a lot happening around there. i ve talked to rent rsidents ar that town to crimea, north of the country, they have been seeing russian vehicles for the first time coming into the town itself. the mayor of that town has said no need to be concerned, they re still under ukrainian control he said on a facebook page but obviously there does appear to be a russian presence very firmly sitting on the outskirts of that city. mick lie ath is the next big city along the black sea, an inlet from the sea itself. we were there saturday night to sunday morning. intense shelling on its outskirts, mayor on sunday said get molotov cocktails, get ready to do a circular defense, that appeared to be a little precipitous of a warning, but today he warned of 100 vehicles approaching that particular town, told the women to get indoors, told the men to prepare for the defense of the city, they are deeply honored there.
