Todd Eckert, Ford Truck Group marketing manager, says that Ford is helping its customers raise their game and get the job done with purposeful technology through the introduction of SYNC 4 with a larger 12-inch screen and 24x7 cloud connectivity for both their truck and mobile devices. This all-new screen is landscape-oriented and offers wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, along with the ability to multitask thanks to a split-screen function. This allows one to view navigation, music, truck features, and the new digital owner s manual in various combinations. However, this is only standard on the Lariat and higher trims, while base models get the 4.2-inch system as standard with the SYNC 3 eight-inch display available (standard on XLT trims).
