downpours in places, particularly wales, north west england but the heaviest rain will push out to the north sea and we start to see sunshine moving into western areas. it is an improvement and not a bad day for scotland and northern ireland, fewer showers and more in the way of sunshine. that area of low pressure clears away, we start to see this area of high pressure nosing in from the west. still the chance of a few showers across the northern half of the country with light northerly winds but the winds will be light and quite a bit of sunshine around once any morning mist and murk clears the way for england and wales. temperatures 23, maybe 2a degrees in the warm response and that s the theme as we move through the week. high pressure starts to take over, more dry weather, more sunshine around but with this area of low pressure in the north atlantic, we start to see winds coming in
